How to Install
INSTALLATION GUIDE
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This is a thick decal kit and not the thin, full-body vehicle wrap.
The underlying original color of the vehicle will still show through between the gaps of the decal set.
REQUIRED TOOLS: Heat gun or hair dryer, isopropyl alcohol, squeegee, water spray bottle, liquid soap.
All items should be inspected for defects or damage and "dry fitted" before installation. Follow the provided installation instructions completely. We recommend professional installation for all items. Any concerns or questions regarding fit or installation should be directed to our support team. Technical support is available during normal business hours to assist with installations.
INSTALLATION ENVIRONMENT: A warm indoor location, 75°F or warmer, is required.
Installation Instructions:
- Remove existing stock graphics.
- Thoroughly clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner to remove residual adhesive. Do not use acetone or solvent-based cleaners.
- Ensure the surface is clean. If deep scratches or burrs protrude from the surface, scrape or sand them flush.
- In a spray bottle, mix 5–6 drops of liquid soap with 16 ounces of water. Spray this solution onto the plastic surface and the adhesive side of the decal.
- Lightly place the wet adhesive side of the decal onto the surface, allowing it to float into position. Using a squeegee or similar tool, work the solution out from between the decal and the surface, taking care to remove all water and eliminate bubbles.
- Use a hair dryer to warm problem areas, making the decal more pliable and easier to manipulate.
- Avoid overheating to prevent scorching the decal.
- Allow the graphic to set for 24 hours before riding.
Our thick 24-mil premium vinyl graphics are engineered for extreme racing applications, requiring absolute adhesion to racing plastics. The vinyl is typically stiff; use a heat gun to soften and shape the material to fit over the part.
PERFORATED TANK GRAPHICS: Our tank decals are intentionally perforated (with small holes) for vehicles with plastic fuel tanks to reduce gas fume blistering. Graphics applied directly to plastic fuel tanks may bubble or blister, which is normal and unavoidable due to fuel vapor permeating through the plastic. The molecular structure of liquid gasoline is larger than that of its vapor form. Keeping your plastic fuel tank full can help minimize vapor penetration through the tank wall.
PURCHASER RESPONSIBILITY: All Motor Graphics™ guarantees our products meet or exceed manufacturer standards. Graphics kits are warranted for three years against fading, peeling, blistering, or flaking. Perforated decals on plastic gas tanks may not last three years due to fuel vapor. The warranty excludes improper installation, scratches, or normal wear. Inspect packages upon receipt; report shipping damage within 72 hours. All kits are custom-made to your vehicle specifications and are non-returnable.
